Volume minimums exclude the companies that need help most
IC System has genuine expertise in B2B commercial debt — they've been doing it for decades, and that experience is valuable. The problem is that traditional agency economics require volume to be profitable: human collectors need a sufficient case load to justify their time, and the agency infrastructure has fixed costs that require minimum placements to cover.
This model works well for large enterprises with hundreds of past-due accounts every month. It leaves out the mid-market manufacturer with 12 overdue invoices, the equipment leasing company with 30 accounts, or the SaaS company sending its first batch of aged AR to collections. These companies either don't qualify for IC System's minimums, or they're deprioritized in favor of larger clients.
AgentCollect's AI has no such constraint. The marginal cost of working one more account is essentially zero — so we have no minimum volume, no case prioritization by size, and the same attention to a 10-account portfolio as a 1,000-account one. Every account gets the full voice + email + SMS + attorney sequence, regardless of portfolio size.
Companies switch from IC System when…
- They don't meet the minimum volume requirement. A mid-market company with a relatively small AR portfolio gets told their volume isn't sufficient — or they're accepted but clearly not a priority client.
- They want AI instead of human collectors. AI collections work 24/7, never have bad days, and scale instantly. Human collectors are capped by shift hours and personal capacity.
- They want their brand on every touchpoint. B2B relationships are long-term. Having IC System's name on collection calls or letters can damage relationships that would otherwise recover on their own with professional follow-up.
